MESSAGE FROM GCHA:
The Gold Coast Hockey Association’s Hockey Academy is gearing up for a new season with a vision to develop and unite all members across the association with quality high performance coaching.
Gold Coast Hockey Association is excited about what the Academy can offer exclusively to Gold Coast athletes and coaches in 2013 and beyond at our centre - the home of the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The Association is very fortunate to have some of the best human resources in the country in 2013 to service our athletes and coaches to ensure enjoyment, development and education in the sport of hockey.
As President of Gold Coast Hockey Association I am both excited and proud that we have two of Australia’s most highly respected and accredited coaches in Brent Livermore and Carl Dalton leading our coach and player development, and in particular our juniors and culture to continuous improvement.
The Academy is not confined to elite players – there is an opportunity for players of all ages to receive top quality coaching in a variety of squads in a high performance environment. As an Academy member, junior players also have the opportunity in 2013 for the first time to be part of the South East Australian Academy Games in Wollongong in April through the Academy’s recent affiliation with the Gold Coast Academy of Sport. In addition to this the coaching will become more personalised and age classified this year to increase the level of service and development with some exciting new membership packages including strength and conditioning and fitness classes.
If you or your child is interested in joining a squad in 2013 there is an information evening at the GCHA clubhouse with Brent Livermore and Carl Dalton from 6 - 7pm Tuesday February 5. On this evening information will be disseminated, questions can be answered and the opportunity provided to become a member for 2013 with most junior squads commencing on February 18.
I encourage all interested players and families to attend this information evening on offer to gain an insight to the programs and membership on offer.
For general enquiries about the Academy or to express interest in attending the evening, please contact the High Performance Manager Carl Dalton at firstname.lastname@example.org .

Ok guys, I hope you're ready for something that hasn't been done before, this is the first! With the merge into Goodlife Benny, Billy & Matt have combined to form team Nerang for a 10 week group fitness programme. Both Helensvale & Robina are doing the same, and every third week we meet with these clubs and have a games & events day to establish who is the dominant force of Goodlife Gold Coast! (Note bootcamp is available to all including those not members of goodlife) Training will be different to what you've done before and will remain fun, whilst pushing those boundaries and beating a couple of other groups along the way.
What we would like from you is to join us in creating a healthy relationship/rivalry with the other clubs as well as bringing a great attitude so we can bring home the prize! Contact Billy 0422674768 for info or to find out how to make it more affordable for you and your friends, we'd love to make this first one something to remember, so join us!
