Re: Financial Matters concerning the Club

The Club has had some difficulties with finances last year and may have some problems this year. This has come about because of the desire to keep the Registration fees as low as possible so that everyone can participate in playing for the Club, despite the unfavourable economic times. The Executive know just how expensive playing our sport is.

To help with supplementing our finances we have been forced in to considering alternative forms of revenue raising. One of these is to charge for those players that routinely "Play Up" in to the Division above. Up until now the Club has borne the cost of allowing players to play up a division. We can not continue to do this. The Registration fee of $550.00 covers playing ONE game a week and one Training session a week. Therefore it has been decided that should you choose to nominate to be a regular player in a higher division (by regular meaning playing more than 3 games in the season in the higher division) then a charge of $5.00 will be levied to you per game. The Manager of each team is to keep records of how many games you play up and an invoice will be sent to you in June and August for those games. Payment will be required within 2 weeks of the invoice date. Your co-operation on this matter will be appreciated. An extra $5.00 for a game is not much to pay for those keen to have a second run each weekend. Players who are asked to "fill in" and play up on a weekend, will not be expected to pay the charge. This is for the discretion of the Team Manager as to who is a regular "Player Up".

This charge will commence for games commencing the second round ie weekend starting 21/3/09.
