Hockey Queensland's Coach Manager Barry Vohland has recently contacted me offering the Gold Coast Hockey Association members a coaching workshop during the upcoming open schoolgirls titlles on the Gold Coast.

These titles are not far away commencing on May 29 and concluding on June 1. The proposed date for the workshop is Monday May 31 from 6.30pm. The workshop will run for approx. 1.5 - 2 hours and the content will consist of:

• Hockey Ed accreditation: An overview of the Hockey Ed Accrediatation process with a focus on the "Development Coach" course being conducted in Brisbane in August. An outline of what the Brisbane workshop entails will be provided.
• Essential Skills: Video clips and discussion on the essential skills required for hockey.
• Qld Under 18 Womens & Mens National Tournaments - Tactics: Video clips focusing on tactics from this years U/18 national tournaments will be viewed and discussed.

This is a valuable opportunity for Gold Coast members who coach at all levels and in particular those who have aspirartions to becoming accredited as a "Development Coach."
